This thing is a tank. Total quality build. I love cooking everything on it. I have done steaks, pizza, clams casino, bread, roasted potatoes and even an apple tort! It has brought my culinary chops up a couple of notches! If you haven’t had a 2 inch ribeye cooked in one of these things you are in for a treat. The crust is truly magnificent. Alfa rocks. The 5 Minuti is a HUGE leap forward from my former pizza oven; a very popular 'portable' stainless unit. It's a night and day difference as the old unit loaded wood from the rear, or would use pellets w/ an adapter, but simply wasn't able to get the stone warm enough, and was a hassle to load wood, etc. This unit took minutes to setup, and on my first use, I had a better pizza than I did using the other unit for over a year. Not only better, but easier, and warmed up faster. It is indeed a win, win win.
It says you can fit two pizzas, true, but I'm still most comfortable fitting one 10oz/10" pie. Otherwise the second would likely be too close to the door and thus not get cooked evenly.
The pros are numerous: easy to load wood, easy to start a fire (I use a blow torch and split oak slivers). It's not too heavy to move, but certainly heavy enough to stay in place. Chimney comes off to fit inside when covering. Warms up crazy fast. I can comfortably cook a pizza in 30 mins. The air flow does not blacken the face of the unit, that's really nice.
Cons - I would like a door that can seal so I can snuff the fire and save some coal when I'm done cooking. The current door is vented w/ no ability to close the vent. Same goes for a dampener on the chimney, not mandatory, but would be nice to have.
