    What You’ll Need

    • Wood Fired Oven
    • Large Bowl
    • High-Heat Baking Tray
    • Heat Resistant Gloves
    • Strainer
    • Serving Dish

    Ingredients:

    • 12 chicken wings
    • 2 tbsp olive oil
    • 3 tbsp apple cider vinegar
    • 3 tbsp honey
    • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
    • 4 tbsp hot sauce
    • 3 garlic cloves
    • 2 tsp celery salt
    • Optional garnish - parsley and sesame seeds to taste

How to Make Wood Fired Wings

    1. First, dry the wings well with paper towels. This is an essential tip for ensuring that crispy finish of your finger lickin’ good dreams.
    2. Next, mix all of the marinade ingredients in your large bowl and mix thoroughly.
    3. Then, grab your chicken wings and coat each wing with the marinade. Let these continue to marinate in the large bowl in the fridge for a minimum of 30 minutes.
    4. While you’re waiting, fire up your wood fired oven to 480 degrees Fahrenheit and grab a beer (this second part is optional, but we like to think not).
    5. You can check the temperature inside your pizza oven quickly using the infrared thermometer gun.
    6. Remove chicken wings from the large bowl, leaving the excess marinade in the bowl. Place the chicken wings in your high-heat baking tray.
    7. Bake in your wood fired oven for 20 minutes or until nicely charred, then take the tray out of the oven and drain any excess oil. Toss the wings in the remaining marinade.
    8. Pop the wings back in the oven for an additional 10 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through. These wings are done when most of the marinate has evaporated. They will be sticky and glazed.
    9. Let cool and garnish (optional) with the sesame seeds and parsley

Serve them up for good luck at your next sporting event or barbecue!
