When you think of Alfa, the first thing that should come to mind is quality in craftsmanship and attention to detail. Alfa is a truly Italian-made pizza oven company, and you can see it in every aspect of their ovens. Now, you would think being completely built from the ground up in Italy would cost an arm and leg, but the Alfa pizza oven price compared to its Asian-made competitors isn't much more expensive. And the difference in cost more than outweighs the peace of mind you get knowing you're buying an oven that will last.
Now, if you're in the US or UK you can't necessarily get an Alfa oven at Costco (sorry guys and gals, it's more exclusive than that) but you can get the Alfa Ciao pizza oven, Alfa Stone pizza oven, Alfa ONE pizza oven and 4 Pizze from hand-picked authorized dealers like ourselves. Heck, you can even get the much sought-after Alpha ONE pizza oven cover (this cover has been requested for quite some time and Alfa FINALLY came out with it) to snugly protect your Alfa ONE while not in use.
This all sounds great but can you sum up the differences for me? You got it!
When you compare their ovens to any other outdoor pizza oven on the market, it's not hard to see why an Alfa oven is the only logical choice:
Crafted in Italy for over 40 years ensures each weld to each brick was thoughtfully placed with expert hands
Wicked fast heating times with top-notch insulation get you up and cooking fast with less wood consumption
Industry-leading customer service because THEY CARE
Alfa offers a complete line of modern wood-fired ovens, gas ovens, and pizza oven accessories - all built to last and bring the pizza oven expert out of you.
If you’re looking for a stainless steel, wood-fired pizza oven and you want true Italian craftsmanship, then it’s going to be very difficult to find a better fit than Alfa. With the sleek design, the smooth edges, the handcrafted stainless steel, each oven is built like a finely tuned Ferrari.
It’s safe to say, Italians know how to make pizza ovens. And Alfa is no exception.
But when you look at Alfa’s line of ovens, it can get a little confusing on determining which wood-fired pizza oven is the best fit for you. The names are Italian and you’re not sure what makes a 5 Minuti any different than a 4 Pizze. Tough stuff.
But have no fear, we’ll make the distinction easy for you!
Alfa ONE Wood-Fired Pizza Oven
The Alfa ONE is the smallest pizza oven Alfa offers. It can cook one 10-12” pizza at a time and heat up in 10 minutes or less. The cooking surface area is average for an oven this size, coming in at 24 x 16 inches. And weighs only 54 Kg (or 119 lbs). That makes it somewhat portable.
Concerned about wood consumption? Don’t be. The Alfa ONE is well built and on average burns about 2.5 Kg (or 5.5 lbs) of wood per hour.
The Alfa Ciao is the next step up from the Alfa ONE in terms of cooking surface area. The Ciao can cook two 10-12” pizzas at a time and heats up in 15 minutes or less. The cooking surface area is great for its price, coming in at 27.5 x 15.7 inches. And weighs in at 80 Kg (or 176 lbs).
Surprisingly, even though the Alfa Ciao is a larger oven, wood consumption is just as good as the Alfa ONE. The Ciao on average burns about 2.5 Kg (or 5.5 lbs) of wood per hour.
The Alfa 5 Minuti is the first model that steps into Alfa’s “professional” series of residential pizza ovens and truly showcases Alfa’s signature build quality and craftsmanship. The level of detail of these ovens is amazing.
Don’t get us wrong, the Alfa Ciao is a beautiful oven as well and head and shoulders better than most ovens of its size BUT Alfa takes a big jump here between the two. Higher gauge stainless steel, malleted Copper finish, and laser imprinted detailing, just to name a few upgrades.
As for general specifications, the 5 Minuti can cook two 10-12” pizzas at a time and heats up in 20 minutes or less. The cooking surface area is average for an oven this size, coming in at 27.5 x 15.7 inches. And weighs 77 Kg (or 169.7 lbs).
When it comes to wood consumption, the Alfa 5 Minuti is the same as the Alfa Ciao in that on average it burns about 2.5 Kg (or 5.5 lbs) of wood per hour.
The Alfa 4 Pizze is the next largest wood-fired pizza oven Alfa offers and continues to build upon its “professional” line of residential ovens. It can cook four 10” pizzas at once and heats up in 20 minutes or less. The cooking surface area is big for an oven at this price point, coming in at 31.5 x 24 inches. And weighs only 120 Kg (or 265 lbs).
As ovens get larger, typically the wood consumption increases drastically. That’s not the case with the 4 Pizze. On average, this oven burns about 5 Kg (or 11 lbs) of wood per hour.
The Alfa Allegro is the largest pizza oven Alfa offers. It can cook up to five 10” pizzas at a time and heats up in an astounding 20 minutes or less. The cooking surface area is big for an oven at this price, coming in at 39 x 27.5 inches. And weighs only 140 Kg (or 309 lbs).
Concerned about wood consumption with this large of an oven? Don’t be. The Alfa Allegro is built with efficiency in mind and on average burns about 5 Kg (or 11 lbs) of wood per hour.
Gas pizza ovens are a relatively new addition to the pizza oven industry. As you look around, you’ve probably noticed there aren’t many quality options to choose from. Especially when you’re searching for a gas oven that is Italian-made, has a large cooking surface area, and displays a hand-built, stainless steel construction. Alfa is the top choice.
Alfa gas pizza ovens come in a variety of shapes and sizes. All showcasing the true, Italian elements that took them from just an idea in 1977 to being one of the most well-respected residential pizza oven companies in the world.
Let’s dive into what makes each model differ from the other, as there are quite a few to choose from.

Don't forget to grab these with your order if you don't have them already!
